Template over 11 pages covering all key areas of research for this unit.
This resource covers all the key areas of research for any scenario in this unit. It enables pupils to complete research in the key areas like Competitors, Market share, target market and trends. It then provides space for the external factors and situational analysis such as SWOT, Product Life Cycle and even an Ansoff Matrix.
With the full Marketing mix and Extended Marketing Mix it also covers Costs, timescales, media used and the appropriateness of the campaign.
This is a template for them to complete - NOT pages of notes or completed research. I use this with my groups when they are doing their own supervised research over the six hours. They use it in combination with the mark scheme and model answer provided by Edexcel.

*** Please leave feedback ***
This resource takes the key elements of the Edexcel sample work and their mark scheme to create a clear structure for the examination.
I tell my pupils that a basic answer will follow this to the letter, whilst the best will adapt to the scenario, plus the additional information on the day.
It is designed so the pupils complete the resource whilst researching the scenario. Once researched, their notes follow the exam structure. Job done!

Prepared flashcards ready to be printed two sided (and line up perfectly).
I use this with all my groups. I print these on white card. Make sure you print two-sided and flip on the SHORT edge (otherwise it will not work).
It covers over 40 of the key terms used in the Finance for Business unit and is essential for learning the basics of this unit.
I offer the colour copy to the students to print themselves but if I give them a copy I erase all colour and print black and white. The colours denote the subsections within the unit (Costs, or Break even etc).

Hi
This is a collection of exam questions (and answers) for the Unit 3 Personal and Business Finance Unit.
Importantly, I have grouped all questions together so there are a number of Break-even questions together etc.
Personal Finance - 16 Questions
Business Finance - 37 questions
It has taken hours to collate the questions into topic headings and then include the answers.
Once done, I am finding it really helpful.
I am using this partly in the classroom and partly as homework.
There are two versions:
Student - Questions only
Teacher - Questions and Answers
A single page Knowledge Organiser to help students use percentages effectively, with Personal and Business Finance examples.
In my experience, KS4 and KS5 students often forget how to make ‘simple’ calculations so this acts as a great aide memoir.
I have ensured the process of calculations is the same way it is taught in our maths department (so there is consistency).
Free resource for all and I feel it is equally useful for Maths and Business.
**New for 2018 I have updated the flashcards with additional cards covering how to answer the challenging 8 mark questions.
They are also colour coded for finance topics and images to aid retention.
They are carefully positioned so that they can be printed back to back and will match up perfectly for cutting out.
Please leave feedback if you purchase.
Thank you.**
Great set of flashcards to cover the whole of Theme 1.
When printed on both sides (flip on the short size) the boxes will align and can be cut to generate a great set of flashcards.

I used this when teaching A Level and we looked at the Levels of response. I have amended it for Btec (I teach Business). I like this analogy of considering impacts (Analysis) and then making decisions based upon the analysis made.
Hope this is of help to you. Please see my other resources.

Btec L3 Business Unit 8 Recruitment and Selection Process A3 Ethics lesson
This covers the key points in the syllabus with links to external sites and a pupil task to reinforce learning.
Hello and thank you for choosing this resource.
Every slide has two parts. Click and the second slide will appear. Click again to the next term, and so on. I would recommend to do a section at a time. I have used the same sections from the syllabus but this would also be great with any other syllabus.
I use this as a starter, and sometimes as a plenary. I have also shared it with my pupils so they can use it in their own time.
You can use the Menu (slide 2) to jump to the separate sections. I try to do a section in every lesson.
I always try to challenge the pupils on one or two explain (by giving an example) and to consider the impact of a term/ phrase in a business situation (usually the same example just discussed).
I hope this helps, please leave feedback on the resource.
